This is one of our Trip Series: Here & There Around Israel - Heritage and Nature.
The tour lasts approximately ten to twelve hours.
Between Rachel the poet and Naomi Shemer, on the banks of the Sea of Galilee. Both were nourished by the same landscape, both loved the area forever. Both are buried next to each other, in front of the same beloved view.
We will start the story at Moshava Yavniel. What about the colony and Naomi Shemer’s father?
We will continue east along the ridge line to the wonderful view that is always beautiful and always good for the soul. A wonderful panoramic view all around , including Golan Heights, all around Sea of Galilee etc.
Next station will be the Kinneret “courtyard”. Here was the maiden farm. Here Rachel experienced the love of the land.
We will visit the cemetery in "Ohalo" where the two women are buried, some of the leaders of the labor mouvement, the founders, the Yeminites and more.
At the end of the day: Beit Hatamar in Moshava Kinneret. We will see a film about the history of the family who built their lives on dates and we will finish with a visit to the date shop.
Return back to starting points around 18.00
Breakfast: There will be a breakfast break at the expense of the participants at an appropriate place along the way. Alternatively, you can bring a packed breakfast.

Pick up points:
7:30 am: Herzliya - outside of the Train Station, on Ben Zion Michaeli St. at one of the bus points
8:15 am: Zichron Yaakov - 1 Avshalom St., next to the Beit El Factory
Back to the starting point approximately around 18:00 - 19:00.
The price of our Trip Series: Here & There Around Israel has increased by ten shekels in order to include a tip to the driver and to the tour guide.
ESRA trips are suitable for people in good health. Please come properly prepared with plenty of water and good walking shoes.
