Active since 1979, ESRA was established to help English-speaking olim acclimate to life in Israel. This soon evolved to helping diverse waves of immigrants, and then to helping any needy sector of Israeli society, with an emphasis on educational advancement for all of Israel's children.
Proud to be a volunteering organization, ESRA soon discovered there is no better to way acclimate than by getting involved and volunteering for the community. ESRA volunteers organize social & cultural events, work in our office or charity shops, tutor schoolchildren in English, help run education and welfare projects, and work on ESRAmagazine.
Proud of being Israel's largest English speaking community, ESRA holds no religious or political affiliation, respecting all.
