Join us for a fascinating tour of the Aden Museum and synagogue. Learn about the history of the Jewish people who lived in Aden (now Yemen, formerly a British colony) for more than 1000 years. The tour and talk will be given, in English, by Sara Ansbacher, an expert in the field.
Sarah Ansbacher was born in London, UK. She is an author of historical and contemporary fiction including a short story collection, Passage from Aden: Stories from a Little Museum in Tel Aviv, based on her experiences working at the Aden Jewish Heritage Museum.
Participants to make their own way. By train from Haganah then bus 16 or Migdal Shalom/Herzl (5 minutes' walk from the museum); or bus 4 / 104 to Herzl/Yehudah Halevi (also 5 minutes’ walk).
Alternatively, there are several car parks nearby if people want to drive.
Additional places of interest, with suggestions of local kosher cafes for lunch, will be provided for those who want to extend their day in Tel Aviv.
