Join us for an enlightening discussion on Zionism, a dynamic concept shaped by individual and collective experiences. We will delve into key questions, including:

- Where and when did Zionism originate, and how has it transformed over time?
- What contributions did our forefathers make to modern Zionism?
- How is our personal understanding of Zionism rooted, and how is it evolving?
- What is the perspective of anti-Zionists, and do they present valid arguments?

This is an opportunity to examine Zionism today, relevant for ESRA members and anyone interested in this critical discourse.

Dr. Jesse Lachter, made Aliyah from New York in 1979. With over 32 years of experience at Rambam Hospital, he is a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine (ret.) at the Technion and currently serves as the Regional Head Gastroenterologist for Kupat Cholim Meuhedet. Dr. Lachter is an active endoscopist, performing procedures weekly at Elisha Hospital, and is involved with various insurance companies, including Phoenix, Menorah, Clal, Migdal, and Harel.

In addition to his medical career, Dr. Lachter is a dedicated member of ESRA, married to Noga, and proud father of four with eight grandchildren. He is also the President of Bridges for Hope-Tikkun Olam, where he has taught Torah for 15 years. His main focuses include preventive medicine—especially regarding colon and pancreatic cancers—and enhancing the quality of medical care. He is currently working on innovative projects, such as utilizing artificial intelligence to improve endoscopy and developing the Onepass medical device.
