At the age of 90, Rami Billis takes us through a lifetime
from wartime London, youth movement and Aliyah as a
kibbutz pioneer in his book: “From North London to the
North Gaza Border: My Life in Kibbutz Zikim”.
Family is all important to Rami starting with his own
generation evacuated together for part of the war to his
own extended family of children, grandchildren and
great grandchildren, and his happy marriage to his late wife
Miriam.
He was at the kibbutz with his new partner on October 7th
and added his experiences to this memoir. He writes with
humour, optimism and an amazing memory.
