The path Judy Lev took in writing her memoir, Our Names Do Not Appear, and the insights she gained have helped her in processing the events of October 7th. She discovered that, once again, writing could hold her together. In this talk she will share her experience of writing during this war, as well as her life-long experience of writing about grief.
For twenty years Clevelander Judy Labensohn wrote a personal essay column for The Nation Magazine and The Jerusalem Post. Her first book, Our Names Do Not Appear, a memoir, written as Judy Lev, is the story of her silenced childhood grief.
