Join us for this exciting full-day hike at the best time of the year. The hike is mostly flat or downhill, although there are some points where we will have to scramble over rocks.
Along the route we will see a Second Temple Byzantine Farm, several memorials, Ottoman Mill and Hadrian’s Roman aqueduct and Beit Hanania.
Our guide, Dr. Diana Barshaw, will provide explanations about the trail and its sites.
- The tour is based on several drivers being able to take their cars. We will be in contact with all those who register to organise carpooling. If you are able to bring a car it will be a great help.
- In order to be able to finalise carpooling, PLEASE REGISTER NO LATER THAN MARCH 16TH. Make sure you provide your email address and correct phone number.
- We will meet at 08.30 at the car park at Hadrian’s Aqueduct where some cars will be positioned.
- We will then drive to Ramat HaNadiv where the remaining cars will be parked and where the hike will start at 09.15.
- If anyone would like to meet us at the Ramat HaNadiv Car Park, please be there by 09.00.
- The hike is about 11K and suitable for those who are fit and capable of walking this distance. There will be plenty of time for resting / snacks.
- Brink water, hat, packed lunch, and snack food.
- There is a narrow river we will need to cross. Bring water shoes or be prepared to wade barefoot.
- Good hiking boots are mandatory.
- Hiking poles are definitely advised.
- At the end of the hike the drivers who left their cars at Ramat HaNadiv will be driven back there to collect their vehicles. We aim to be back at Ramat HaNadiv before 16.30.
