Dr. Diana Barshaw was a research scientist and professor in the field of behavior and ecology of marine animals from 1988 to 2004. Starting in 2005 she wrote a monthly column for the Jerusalem Post called ‘Wild Israel’ and a blog for the Times of Israel. On her website http://www.dianabarshaw.com/ she describes the Israel National Trail and has compiled a guide to hiking the trails of the Carmel Mountains. Diana has recently been certified as an Israeli Tour Guide.
1. Pick-up points at Hof HaCarmel Railway station, Haifa at 8:30 and Dan Panorama Hotel, Mercaz HaCarmel, Haifa at 9:00. You will be contacted prior to the trip to check your alighting point.
2. Please bring a packed lunch which we will eat during our visit to Moriah Synagogue.
3. There will be a small amount of easy walking around and between the sites we will be visiting.
4. At the end of the tour, participants will be returned to the Dan Carmel hotel or the Hof HaCarmel Railway Station.
