Professor Robert Rockaway was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan and received his Ph.D. in history from the University of Michigan in 1970. He made aliya in 1971 and took up a post in the Department of Jewish History at Tel-Aviv University, teaching American Jewish History and Modern Jewish History. Robert has written numerous books and articles and is a frequent guest on radio and television programs in Israel and the United States.
