We visit Herodium (mountain of life) the ancient Jewish fortress built by Herod the Great on the edge of Jerusalem. We will begin with a climb to the fortress (15nis entry fee). We will spend at least three hours exploring Herodium and will exit through the ancient reservoir. We then return to the coach and then drive to Horvat Hanot and hike onto Ein Mata and finish at Nahal Zanoah. This is a comparatively easy hike but the descent to Ein Mata is considered difficult to hard. Please be aware of this if you are not a regular hiker. Take note that hard descents are
