Join us for a photo shoot at Park Hayarkon (Ganei Yehoshua) Tel Aviv.
In the early days of the State of Israel, Ben-Gurion decided to allocate the Hayarkon Park area to the Tel Aviv municipality at a cost of one pound per acre. It was also stipulated that no houses would be built on either side of the Yarkon and the area would be the center of the city’s green areas. The development of HaYarkon Park was started in 1969. The Hayarkon Park Company was established in 1973 to manage the park and named Ganei Yehoshua – after Yehoshua Rabinowitz, the Tel Aviv Mayor from 1969-1974.
The Ganei Yehoshua Park’s active area covers 3,800 acres, of which 2,600 acres are developed with 1,200 acres of woods, flowers and shrubs together with other public facilities. The Yarkon River winds 28 km from Rosh Ha’ayin Springs to the Mediterranean and passes through the park.
The development and preservation of green, open spaces for the enjoyment of visitors remains the central objective in the management of the HaYarkon park.
The fee covers the shoot and the review session.
Details of the review session will be sent out later.
