We will start at the British Cemetery, then walk through the El Atiqa neighbourhood, through Bat Galim and around Rambam Hospital along the promenade past the cable car, past the Oceanographic Institute to Tel Shikmona.
Start: Getting to the British Cemetery: By public transportation. Take the Metronit # 1 to the Dolfin bus stop. Walk about 350 meters north on HaHagana Ave.

Dr. Diana Barshaw was a research scientist and professor in the field of behavior and ecology of marine animals from 1988 to 2004. Starting in 2005 she wrote a monthly column for the Jerusalem Post called ‘Wild Israel’ and a blog for the Times of Israel. On her website http://www.dianabarshaw.com/ she describes the Israel National Trail and has compiled a guide to hiking the trails of the Carmel Mountains. Diana has recently been certified as an Israeli Tour Guide.

ESRA trips are suitable for people in good health. Please come properly prepared with plenty of water, appropriate attire for the weather and good walking shoes. Bring a snack or lunch. Advance registration required.
