There will be some small accompanying literature for “self-tour” suggestions with perhaps some additional literature. Please be on time for the introductory portion which will start at 11:00 AM. Arrive by bus 271 at Kibbutz Ghetto Fighters and short walk to museum; or take taxi; or make a car pool and park in the parking lot.
It began in 1949 with the establishment of the Ghetto Fighters’ House Kibbutz. Holocaust survivors, many of them from the surviving resistance fighters, originally populated the kibbutz. In 1949 they began to collect artifacts, photographs, memorabilia from their previous lives.
On Pesach 1951 they made a decision to establish a museum. Originally named The Shack, this was the world’s first Holocaust museum. It has grown tremendously and is now a premier museum as well as an educational establishment and is known worldwide!
Join us for a group tour especially designed for our participants.
We will meet as a group at 11:00 AM, in front of the entrance.
Price includes entrance fee.
